As working mothers, most of us are our own harshest critics and we would never allow someone to speak to those we love the way our inner voice speaks to us . So how do we extend grace and love to ourselves to begin rewiring the negative narrative on auto loop?
Start by identifying where you need help, ask for the help you need, and accept the help that is offered. Institute boundaries to protect your peace and know that those boundaries can be adjusted and updated with life’s ever changing demands. Schedule intentional time for yourself to do the thing(s) you love and that fill you up. (Resentment and exhaustion make for a pretty nasty foundation for your inner self to approach the outer world.)
