About this Episode
In this episode, I interview my new friend and founder of Holly and Co., Holly Tillman, who is a creative marketing strategist, and communication professional helping to make marketing online well-known, simple, and available to everyone. Holly built her agency and her talented team from the ground up when life, and love, led her to San Diego in support of her then boyfriend, an Olympic athlete, as he trained at the Olympic training center. Armed with a hard-earned master’s degree and a variety of established careers behind, Holly hit the pavement looking for a means to make ends meet while living on a monthly stipend of $1000 and fried rice, in one of the most expensive cities in America. After countless “no’s” and dead-ends, Holly made her own way and established her now thriving marketing agency, achieving 6-figures in less than a year-and-a-half of its launch.
Holly’s colorful career history is proof of her own words of wisdom, “…you can make a plan for your life, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen.” Listen to our interview of a woman who found opportunity in every business and career field –from an EMT to the ER studying to become a PA, and then to the skies as a flight attendant– and later took those skills to create her own opportunity in a thriving business that brings her both fulfillment, and flexibility. Holly shares her insights on the importance of establishing boundaries and maintaining them to achieve balance as a new mother and entrepreneurial powerhouse, and the need to persevere no matter what. This episode will leave you feeling inspired to finally listen to that nudge toward the unknown, giving you the confidence to know that, ”no matter where you’re at, what you’re doing, or what your skill-set is, there is a business for you.” Tune-in and stop living in the weight of your former education and background; it’s never too late to try your hand at something new and to begin living again in the freedom of possibility.
