About this Episode
In this episode, I interview Sarah Libengood, the 2021 President-Elect for the Idaho chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors, and the Team Leader of the Good Life Real Estate Group, who is dedicated to serving her clients and her community. Sarah began her journey to success as a young mother living in a studio basement apartment, determined to provide a better life for her son. Knowing that she would be the source of financial stability and security for her family, she left art school behind and sought out the medical transcription trade for its flexibility and opportunity. In 2005, however, the landscape of the medial transcription industry looked vastly different than it had as she climbed to the top building a team of over 140 contractors; she knew something had to change, in her professional life and her personal life for her happiness and her son’s. Sarah made the move to Boise to be closer to her father, and found opportunity and success as a realtor after dealing with the frustration and firing of four of her own agents.
Listen to our interview, of small changes and decisions made, that led to happiness and success. Sarah addresses the importance of one’s mindset and the intentional pursuit of happiness by surrounding yourself with the right people and making the decisions that need to be made. She leads by example, and by lifting others through her work in establishing Idaho’s first Fair Housing and Diversity committee and through her investment in the education and professional development of other realtors to ensure everyone can not only have access to housing, but also see their dreams achieved. This episode will leave you with renewed hope for the ability to change your life’s course at any time, and the desire to make some changes in the pursuit of happiness. Tune in and find out why Sarah is touted by her peers as someone who “does everything for the right reason.”
